Unter den Linden

Unter den Linden is a truly a major tourist attraction when visiting the city of Berlin. The word “Unter den Linden” in English translates to “under the linden trees“. The place also has a high historical importance, in the year 1647, many Linden trees were planted and as time progressed it became one the most beautiful gardens of Berlin. It extends all the way from from Pariser Platz at the Brandenburg Gate up til the Schlossbrücke Bridge. Over the years, different changes have been made to beautify the place. Visit at least once

While traveling to Berlin, it is a very good idea to visit the place at least once; to be frank it is also an ideal resting place for the weary traveler. There are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants available as you walk along Unter den Linden. As it also connects Bebelplatz, Pariser Platz, the Schlossbrücke, the Lustgarten and the Museum Island, it’s also a good place to start your journeys of Berlin.

It is worth to mention that during the Second World War Hitler ordered the trees to be chopped down, but ultimately the trees of Unter den Linden remained.
